WINDOWS TO THE WORLD 2018LIVING REGIONALLY, CONNECTING WITH THE WORLDThe colour and spectacle of the Commonwealth Games has inspired Windows to the World, our calendar of community events for 2018. Windows to the World continues the journey from last year’s highly successful Life in Landscape program, inviting us to share the dream of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games as it brings nations together, broadening our cultural horizons as we explore our region and its place in the world. The Scenic Rim’s rural townships and villages, each with their own unique character, provide a wide range of cultural and recreational opportunities for locals as well as visitors to our region. Our colourful calendar of community events offers plenty to educate, entertain and engage everyone -from school children to seniors - with holiday programs, matinee concerts, Friday flicks, art exhibitions, open studios, dance workshops, thought-provoking discussions and artist talks across the region throughout the year. Join our cultural journey as we explore our identity through exhibitions themed on Indigenous art, our Commonwealth, Postcards from Asia and our place in the Pacific - Oceania
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the Scenic Rim Regional Council to support local arts and culture in Regional Queensland.
